Privacy policy

Meridian collects only what it needs to respond to your enquiry, holds it confidentially, and never sells it. This page explains what we collect through the contact form, why we hold it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have.

The short version

What this policy covers

This policy applies to oracleulacertification.com and to the information you choose to share with Meridian through the contact form on this site. Meridian is an independent Oracle licensing advisory, and our work is confidential by nature, so we keep data collection deliberately minimal. We do not run advertising, we do not sell or rent your information, and we do not publish a public email address. The only routine way information reaches us is the form you submit, and we ask only for what we need to reply usefully.

Our principle

Collect the minimum, hold it confidentially, use it only to help you, and keep it no longer than we need. Confidentiality is the core of advisory work, and that begins with how we handle your data.

What information we collect

When you complete the contact form we collect the details you provide, which typically include your name, your work email address, your organisation, and the message describing your situation. You decide what to include in that message, so please share only what is necessary to frame your enquiry, and avoid sending sensitive contract documents until we have agreed a secure channel. When you submit the form, our form processor also records standard technical information such as the time of submission, which helps us prevent abuse and respond reliably.

Why we hold it, and the legal basis

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to assess how we might help, and to carry on the resulting conversation about an Oracle ULA assessment or related advisory work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated, and, where it applies, taking steps at your request before entering into an engagement. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not add you to any list without your clear agreement. The consent checkbox on the form records that you understand we will use your details to reply.

Who processes data on our behalf

We keep our supplier list short and use established providers. The contact form is delivered through Formspree, which receives your submission and forwards it to us, acting as a processor for that purpose. Our pages load typography from Google Fonts, which may receive standard request information such as your IP address when fonts are served. We host the site with a reputable provider that handles requests to deliver these pages. Each of these providers processes data only to perform its function, and we do not authorise them to use your information for their own purposes.

Cookies and analytics

This site is built to be light and to respect your privacy, so it does not rely on tracking cookies to function. Where we use any analytics, we keep it limited to understanding how the site performs and which resources are useful, rather than profiling individuals. The scroll and accordion behaviours on our pages run entirely in your browser and do not report back to us. If we introduce any analytics that sets cookies, we will describe it here and seek consent where the law requires it.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to manage any engagement that follows, then for a reasonable period afterward to maintain our records and meet professional and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete your enquiry and there is no legal reason to retain it, we will do so.

How we protect it

We treat client and prospect information as confidential, restrict access to those who need it to help you, and use providers that maintain recognised security practices. Because Oracle ULA work involves commercially sensitive material, we agree a secure method for exchanging contract documents and deployment data before any such material is shared, rather than asking you to send it through an open form.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the information we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy in a portable form. You can exercise these rights, or ask any question about this policy, by contacting us through the form on our contact page, and we will respond. Because we do not publish a public email address, the form is the route to reach us, and we will reply to the address you provide.

International handling

Meridian operates from New York and London, and the providers we use may process information in other countries. Where information moves across borders, we rely on our providers maintaining appropriate safeguards for that transfer. If you would like to understand how this applies to your enquiry, ask us through the contact form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the date below, and material changes will be reflected on this page. We encourage you to review it when you next contact us, so you know how your information is handled.

Strictly confidential

Confidentiality starts before the engagement. It starts here.

When you are ready to talk, the contact form is the way to reach us, and your enquiry stays confidential from the first message.
